Schooner Emeline carrying lumber.
"On April 30, 1841, the Emeline, a topsail schooner shipping lumber, bilged in agitated seas on Point Allerton. Constructed at Charlestown, Massachusetts, she was out of Bucksport, Maine. A luckless cook and passenger lost their lives in the mishap. The captain and remaining hands were plucked from the wreckage by the Hull volunteer lifesavers."
